About 3 Nails Ministries
3 Nails Ministries is a registered Non-Profit in the state of Louisiana serving the Richland and Franklin Parish region. (EIN 99-3701125)We strive to provide necessary home repairs and renovations for individuals and families who are most in need in and around the community.This includes:• The elderly population/Those on fixed incomes
• Widows
• Individuals who have disabilities
• Those who have spouses who are deployed
• Along with foster care families with specific needs.Examples of projects that may be completed include:• Making homes more handicap accessible by
• Building and installing wheelchair ramps
• Installing wider doors
• Completing bathroom remodels to fit the needs of disabled individuals.Along with:• Making repairs to meet safety requirements, such as:
• Fixing broken windows
• Sealing home exteriors to keep insects/varmints out of the home
• Repairing floors with soft spots or holes and
• Assisting with making the home more secure- fixing broken doorknobs/locks, etc.
• And much more…Our goal is to partner with local churches and organizations to help spread the word about this ministry and to help identify needs in the community.We determine which projects to pursue through an application and referral process.Projects will be voted on by our board members prior to making the final decision.
Meet the Founders
Steven & Samantha Wood
Our Work
Steven Wood is the founder of 3 Nails Ministries. He and his wife, Samantha, launched this non-profit in September 2024 as a way to give back to the community and the surrounding areas.Steven and Samantha were high school sweethearts who married in 2011. Samantha works full-time as a nurse practitioner with a background in Hospice care and pediatrics. They have 2 sons, Konnor and Easton, who love to help every chance they get.Steven and Samantha became active members of Life Church Winnsboro in 2021. Through serving and gaining a deeper relationship with Christ, they both found themselves being pulled out of their comfort zones and into a brand-new territory that required them to let go of earthly possessions and put their trust and faith in God alone.Starting a company of his own is something Steven had always aspired to do. For several months, Steven felt led by God to use his gifts of craftsmanship and service to start a handyman business- and in April of 2022, after much prayer and fasting, 3 Nails Handyman Services, LLC was born. What started as a weekend and afternoon "side gig", quickly became more! Just weeks into his venture, Steven took a leap of faith, resigned from his full-time career as a service manager at a crane company, and began the full-time operation of 3 Nails Handyman Services.In early spring of 2024, Steven felt that the Lord was calling him to a ministry- not just a business. Being the hands and feet of Jesus while providing services that are needed has always been their desire. He knew the Lord was prompting him to start a non-profit using the skills and talents that God had blessed him with. They spent many months in prayer and planning before officially launching 3 Nails Ministries in September 2024.Through this ministry they strive to provide necessary home repairs and renovations for individuals and families who are most in need in and around the community.
